After earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree, she completed a prestigious two-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the University of Connecticut, where she received comprehensive training in restorative, cosmetic, surgical, and multidisciplinary dental care. Working alongside specialists in multiple disciplines strengthened her clinical foundation and fostered a comprehensive approach to treatment planning that continues to benefit her orthodontic patients today.

Following her general dentistry residency, Dr. Virk pursued her passion for orthodontics by completing her specialty residency in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at Nova Southeastern University, where she also earned a Master of Science degree. Her specialty training focused on the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of dental and facial irregularities using the latest evidence-based techniques, digital technology, and modern orthodontic principles.

Dr. Virk is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (FRCDC) and a board-certified orthodontist in Canada. Achieving Fellowship in the Royal College represents one of the highest professional distinctions for dental specialists in Canada. It signifies that she has successfully completed rigorous specialty training, met the Royal College’s comprehensive certification standards, and demonstrated the advanced knowledge, clinical judgment, and expertise required to practice orthodontics at the highest level.
